Pre Construction Services

In today’s market preconstruction services are vital, with the increasing complexity of developing a project while maintaining strict budgets. D Square Construction understands this and provides substantial value to its clients by providing preconstruction services, which will improve constructability, reduce cost, and integrate the construction process with design.

D Square’s preconstruction services include preliminary and schematic budgets, site assessment and logistics, scheduling, constructability and value engineering.

Budget

D Square understands budget constraints exist and every project is different. D Square will take a proactive approach to anticipate any and all reasonable, foreseeable costs that will be incurred during the course of construction.

Site Assessment and Logistics

D Square can perform site assessments of existing conditions and establish a construction site mobilization plan. D Square’s team will work closely with the owner and its representatives to develop a comprehensive plan for use of the site during construction. These plans incorporate procedures for truck traffic and delivery schedules that minimize disturbances to adjacent buildings. If the project is within an occupied facility, D Square will take steps to fully understand the client’s usage of the space and incorporate that knowledge into the plans. The primary objective of D Square is always to provide a safe site with the least disruption possible during construction.

Scheduling

D Square understands that most, if not all, projects have firm deadlines with significant implications if these deadlines are missed. D Square will develop a master project schedule that will be used as a tool for planning and monitoring the progress of the preconstruction and construction process. This schedule will include such items as the design process, permitting time frames, budget reviews, and owner action items. If there are requirements for phased construction or site restrictions, these will be addressed and incorporated.

Constructability

D Square Construction will develop a feasibility study and constructability analyses based on the project scope, program requirements, site constraints and available budget. In addition, D Square will review, discuss and make recommendations regarding the systems, materials, details and components being considered for the project.

Value Engineering

D Square will be a proactive partner in the preconstruction process and will proactively identify areas where money is being spent unwisely, search for alternatives, and recommend materials and methods that are cost effective yet maintains the integrity of the design intent.

General Contracting

D Square has been providing General Contracting services since its inception and is extremely knowledgeable and proficient at managing construction projects. Design-Build Services

Through its design-build services, D Square Construction works closely with our clients and design partners to make our clients’ project concept a reality. We assist our customers in determining the scope of a project, appropriate construction methods and a budget, while creatively finding ways to reduce construction costs without impacting the functionality of the final product.

D Square Construction has strong relationships with our Design firms and specialized discipline consultants. We partner with LEED Accredited Professional who work closely with our in house staff of LEED Accredited Professionals to create sustainable designs. Each member of our team has clearly defined design and construction responsibilities which ensures a seamless and integrated approach to completing Design-Build projects.

LEED / Sustainability

D Square Construction is dedicated to sustainable design and construction principles. D Square Construction believes a sustainable design is a good design. For projects that do not mandate LEED design compliance, we strive to incorporate many of the low cost high reward principles such as waste diversion, purchasing materials manufactured within the local region…

purchasing materials high in recycled content , energy reduction through the use of innovative control measures and energy star appliances and equipment and by using low VOC materials.
